I may or may not be (← read totally, absolutely, 100% unapologetically am) obsessed with peanut butter.
Seriously . . .
OB-FREAKING-SESSED!
It’s a problem . . . or is it?
It’s totally not and you know it. Peanut butter is the bomb!
Peanut butter on apples at snack time (totally diggin’ these dough-nots just quietly Steph is a genius!), sneak it into banana bread, on toast, in stir fry or simply by the spoonful.
I love it!
I gotta tell you though I was a little freaked out when I actually read the ingredient list . . . one would think it would contain only 2 things right . . . peanuts and salt . . . right?
Surely that’s right?
Yeah it’s really not.
A little disturbing really.
Anyways long story short (kinda ;)) I thought I would try my hand at whipping up a batch of my very own, from scratch, home made peanut butter with nothing but a pinch of salt added.
Oh. my. yum!!!!
My sweet sister has be raving about her very own home made peanut butter for e-v-a . . . publicly declaring it “The best Peanut butter ever!!!!” What can I say . . . we all know I’m lazy so it’s taken me about 10 years to getting around to making a batch for myself.
It’s love people.
All you need is some peanuts, (roasted or unroasted, totally up to you) salt and a blender. Easy as
I decided to go with roasted unsalted peanuts so I could control the amount of saltiness. Not that I have control issues or anything . . . what??
I so do not . . . ok maybe I do a little . . . who doesn’t? When it comes to what I feed to my beautiful little family and what I put into my body I want it to be the best it can possibly be. Totally worth it.
So is making your own peanut butter, its so incredibly easy and so incredibly deeeeelicious.
Winning!
PS – prepare to be punched in the face with peanut butter filled recipes people . . . you have been warned.

mmm i love peanut butter too!! Its an addiction! Natural always tastes better too, I find if you eat natural for a long time, the sweetened brands don’t taste as good anymore.
I will have to try make my own now!
So true Tabitha, and its so easy to make and way cheaper too. What’s not to love?
I too am completely obsessed. I ran out two days ago and I’m in withdrawals. I just need to keep a stock of peanuts in my pantry so that I can make some if I neeeeed it. 😉 This looks great Emma!
Oh Caroline you totally do, let me know what you think when you’ve tried it. I think you will love 🙂
