If you have been following along with me on Instagram you will be well aware that I have a minor, ok major infatuation love affair addiction obsession soft spot for Quest Nutrition Protein Bars (evidence → here, → here, → here, → here and → here. I can not even tell you how excited I was to learn that they were not only about to unveil a brand new flavour but that it was cookies and cream!

Holla! I literally put my laptop aside to do a happy dance then run over to tell spunky husband the incredible news.

Not even kidding.

This was me ↑

On Monday, at long last the day arrived! My cookies and cream Quest bars were delivered!!!

So what’s a girl to do . . . crack open that box of protein rich, creamy, dreamy, cookie studded decadence and get her eat on thats what! All in the name of research you know, taking one for the team and all that 😉

I mean I figured some of you may be considering stepping over to the dark side and joining me in my addiction, I mean obsession, I mean love affair with those delicious little Quest Bars. Or that you may at least be slightly interested to hear what I thought of the new, precious little gem of “clean eating”, protein rich decadence that is the cookies and cream quest bar. If not, sorry but Ima tell you anyways 😉

Grab yourself a big ol’ glass of milk and get comfy . . . here we go –

Here are the stats and nutritional info because if your anything like me you wanna know this stuff –

I love how they don’t have any crazy weird ingredients and still manage to be low carb, packed with protein and taste like a seriously indulgent little treat.

Firstly they look and smell ah-maze! Sweet, sweet vanilla goodness flecked with crispy, crunchy chocolate cookie crumbles.

How do they taste? Well nothing short of incredible!

I know there are many different ways people like to enjoy their Quest bars. Some warm them in the microwave, some store them in the pantry but me, I like to eat mine cold so I keep them in the fridge. I get them out and let them sit a room temp for 5 mins or so to soften slightly, otherwise they tend to be a little hard to chew on.

I love how Quest bars are slightly chewy and these cookies and cream bars have that incredible chewy texture I know and love and are packed with crispy crunchy cookie crumbles. I was worried the cookie crumbles might not hold their crispness you know and be a little . . . soft almost soggy but these are some seriously crunchy cookie chunks held within this chewy vanilla bar.

These cookies and cream protein bars are one seriously indulgent, decadent little treat. They are much sweeter than any of the other flavours in my opinion and although I love it it’s not my all time fave.

I usually only have 1/2 a bar at a time, sometimes with an apple and some peanut butter as a mid morning pre-workout snack or 1/2 a bar late afternoon to get me though my post-lunch, pre-dinner 330itis. Honestly, I don’t think I could eat more than half of one of these cookies and cream bars in one sitting.

They are insanely delicious but seriously sweet.

It’s hard to describe what they taste like but I think I have finally figured out what they remind me of, or at least how to describe it to you.

Imagine you had a packet of Oreos and you scraped out that creamy, dreamy vanilla filling then crumbled up a few of those crispy crunchy chocolate cookie halves, mixed them all together and pressed them into a sweet little bar. Thats what these cookies and cream Quest bars remind me of.

I love them, I will definitely be buying more once I polish off this box.

So there you have it.

FYI – This is not a sponsored post, I was not compensated or reimbursed in anyway. I purchased these, and all of my Quest bars to date out of my own pocket and all opinions are my own.

If you are wanting to get your hands on some Quest Bars all your very own they can be a little tricky (although totally worth it) to track down here in Australia. GNC LiveWell Stores to stock a limited selection but I have yet to see the new and beloved Cookies and Cream in stores in Sydney yet.

You can order them online directly from Quest Nutrition, they will ship to Australia however, the best deal and fastest shipping I have found by far is to order through iHerb (FYI you also get 10% off your first order and also discount of 10% if you spend over $60).

You can also order them online through Low Carb Central .

Now . . . how are you going with our 20 day Squat Challenge?
