If you’re looking for a quick and easy, fuss free yet incredible flavourful way to spice up your fish Friday feast this Easter, or just to add to your weekly lunch or dinner rotation then look no further friend, this sweet and spicy, sugar free, 6 minute chipotle BBQ salmon is exactly what you need!

It’s a little bit smoky, a little bit sweet and a whole lot of wonderful!

Made with just 6 pantry staples that I bet you have on hand already and can be on the table ready to devour in less than 10 minutes flat!

Mix it all up, pop it under the grill (or in the air fryer or just a hot skillet), 6 minutes later it’s time to get your eat on!

Serve them with a simple salad, mixed greens, baby tomatoes and lots of avocado with a drizzle of ranch, a sprinkling of coriander (cilantro),  a squeeze of lime and an extra dash of hot sauce is my absolute fave. But, for a heartier meal you could serve it with a side of cauliflower rice  (or regular rice – white or brown – quinoa or cous, cous if you prefer).

However you choose to do it you really can’t go wrong!

I mean just look at all that flavour flave!

6 Minute {Sugar Free} Sweet & Spicy Chipotle BBQ Salmon

  • Cook Time: 6 mins
  • Persons: 2
  • Difficulty: Easy

  • Ingredients
  • Ingredients –
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 Tablespoons of BBQ sauce – I use this sugar free broth boosted BBQ sauce from Gevity RX
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup (or honey or date paste for whole 30)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of chipotle hot sauce (or powder) – more or less to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  1. Instructions
  2. In a small bowl, mix marinade until well combined.
  3. Spread over salmon – give it a little massage to make sure it gets in to all the nooks and crannies.
  4. Pop under the grill (broiler) or air fry at 180’C for 6 minutes.
    *You could also pan fry if you prefer – place salmon in to a hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked to your liking.
  5. Serve with a sprinkling of coriander, a drizzle of mayo or ranch.
  6. Enjoy ox
