And I mean it really died.

And, when I took it into the camera doctor to see if it could have some life saving surgery I was informed that the operation could not be performed for at least 2 weeks as the surgeon was away on holidays!!!!!

Lucky for us this recipe is super quick and easy to prepare, made with just a handful of ingredients that I be you have on hand already and comes together in about 20 minutes!

All you have to do to get in on this deliciousness is toast some mixed nuts in the oven for around 10 minutes, I used almonds, cashews, walnuts and Brazil nuts which I highly recommend but, feel free to use your faves.

Then, once our nuts are light toasted we toss them in a delicious glaze made up of coconut oil, maple syrup, a sprinkling of salt, some fresh rosemary and a cheeky little pinch of cayenne pepper.

Once our nuts have their sweet and spicy glaze on we pop them back in the oven, just for a minute, so our glorious glaze can set and get deliciously caramelized.

You guys . . . I can’t even!

So simple but, so, SO good!

Sweet & Spicy Savory Snack Mix

  • Cook Time: 15 mins
  • Persons: 10+
  • Difficulty: Easy

  • Ingredients
  • 2 1/3 cups of raw mixed nuts (I used a mix of almonds, cashew, Brazil nuts and walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, melted and cooled
  • 1 Tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh rosemary, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper – more or less to taste
  1. Instructions
  2. Preheat your oven to 175’C (350″F)
  3. Line a baking sheet with baking/parchment paper (or a silpat mat) and set aside.
  4. Pour your nuts onto your prepared baking sheet and toss to combine.
  5. Bake nuts for 10 minutes until lightly toasted, golden and fragrant.
  6. While your nuts are toasting, place all remaining ingredients (coconut oil, maple syrup, chopped rosemary, salt and cayenne pepper) into a large bowl and whisk to combine.
  7. Once your nuts are lightly toasted, remove from the oven, pour into the bowl with your sweet and spicy, rosemary glaze and toss to coat.
  8. Pour your glazed nuts back onto the baking sheet and return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes or so (just make sure you stay close by to ensure they don’t catch and burn) to allow the glaze to caramelize and “set” onto your toasted nuts.
  9. Allow to cool for a minute or two before serving.
  10. Enjoy xo

These nuts will keep well stored in an air-tight container (or even just a sealed ziplock bag) for up to a month but I highly doubt they will last that long.
