Is it just me or does it not seem to matter how old we get, the minute a school teacher/principal pulls you aside for “a quick chat” you immediately feel like you’re in trouble?!
Even if you haven’t done anything wrong!
Suddenly you’re 7 years old again and in serious trouble for I don’t know – pulling your sisters hair?! Or accidentally whacking that boy in the shins with your hockey stick?! Or drawing on the carpet?!
Who me?! Never?!
Well, last week when we were dropping the little lady off at school the teacher asked if she could go play with her little friends for a minute so she could have a “quick chat” with mum and dad . . .
gulp . . . ← insert silent panic attack here
Turns out my panic attack was for nothing, little lady’s teacher wanted to let us know how well our girl was doing, especially in her reading! Girlfriend has such impressive reading and comprehension skills they are going to pop her up into the 1st grade with “the big kids” who are more on her level. Proud mama say whaaaaat?!
Seriously so proud right now I can not even tell you.
Anywhoo . . . “That’s a really sweet story Em but, what does it have to do with today’s recipe?!” Well, sweet invisible internet friend of mine, that is a very good question . . .
Answer = sometimes we celebrate with milkshakes up in here and, that my friend, is what we are doing today.
Salted caramel banana milkshakes for everyone!!
You guys are going to love, love, love these milkshakes! I mean who doesn’t love a good milkshake?!
Ice cold, light, fresh, smooth, creamy, subtly sweet and all kinds of delicious, what’s not to love, right?
Oh but just you wait, the love doesn’t stop there baby because, not only are our salted caramel banana milkshakes all kinds of delicious but, they also happen to be all natural – made with just handful of real food ingredients as well as being vegan, dairy free and paleo friendly ♥♥♥
Oh, and then there’s the fact that we added some super festive sprinkles to the rims of our glasses because well . . . sprinkles just make everything better, it’s a fact, for reals! And, a celebration just isn’t a real celebration without sprinkles! Not in our house anyway.
Now, I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk to make our milkshakes today because I am just, head over heels, in love with it!!
Have you tried it?
Do you love it?
I really, really do! (← obvs)
It’s super light and nice and creamy and has a subtle nuttiness to it that really compliments the sweetness of our banana-caramel base.
A little bit nutty, a little bit sweet and all kinds of delish – a match made in heaven!
And then there’s that teeny, tiny pinch of salt that helps to enhance and intensify the flavours of our creamy, dreamy, slightly nutty caramelicious banana shake. Can you say divine?!
These milkshakes are the perfect little treat for breakfast, snack or anytime you feel the need for something quick, easy yet a little bit special!
They are light, creamy, subtly sweet and seriously satisfying – best enjoyed with double straws so you can be sure to slurp up, I mean savour every last delicious drop.
All natural, smooth, creamy, light, fresh, subtly sweet, secretly healthy salted caramel banana milkshakes that also happen to be vegan, dairy free and paleo friendly ♥♥♥
Cheers to my pretty little thirsty nerd . . .
The milkshakes are on me – bottoms up baby 🙂
Make them. Drink them. Love, love, love them.
